Ellen Rivers has been exercising for a very long time. In 2014, she let her membership at a local fitness center expire because she wasn’t making progress, or getting the supervision she wanted. A year later, she received a postcard from MEDFITNESS and decided to give the Free Trial Workout a try.
When Ellen started at MEDFITNESS, she didn’t realize there were so many health benefits to strength training. She now says that most people don’t realize there is much more to strength training than shapely muscles – it really is a healthy decision! According to Ellen, strength training has become a part of her life, right up there with healthy eating and physical activity.
One of Ellen’s first goals was to lose body fat. By adding HMR shakes to her daily diet, she was able to transform her body by losing 28 pounds of body fat. Ellen’s three step process was; strength training, physical activity, and HMR shakes! She enjoys adding fruit to her blended shakes to add variety and nutrition. In addition to losing body fat, Ellen also wanted to make her bones stronger and healthier. After a year of strength training at MEDFITNSS, she achieved a 3.8% increase in the bone density of her spine, and a 9.8 % increase in the bone density of her hip. These results are 5x greater than the improvements Ellen achieved at her previous fitness center. Another bonus, her increases were achieved without the use of drugs.
When asked why she keeps working hard at MEDFITNSS, she says it’s all because of the trainers. The MEDFITNESS trainers keep her motived by stretching her to work hard. According to Ellen, if the trainers weren’t there, I wouldn’t work that hard – I like that! Finally, Ellen says she loves the personal touch at MEDFITNSS. She thinks many companies don’t realize how critical it is!
